Artist bio

I'm a Sydney based abstract artist born in South Africa. Inheriting a flare for art passed down by a long line of creative ancestors, I love to paint and my art now hangs on walls around the world.

My paintings reflect a unique melting pot of cultures with both my South African roots and Australian experiences deeply influencing my art. I paint intuitively and predominantly in abstract form, to create visual delights born from a foundation of free-flowing text and colour. Layers of bold and vibrant colours reflect my love of the natural world with beguiling coastal references and subtle nods to nature.

My art has invited healing into my life with colour being the heartbeat of each piece. Intuitive art presents opportunities for me to connect to spirit, and create imaginative, vibrant, unfinished visual poetry.

In 2021, my artwork was chosen as one of the ‘Best of the Exhibition’ for The International Women’s Day Art Prize.

I create art because...

it makes me extremely happy, calms me and is an opportunity for me to tap into my inner world to reflect the world around me.

I am different to most artists because...

I am simply being myself, expressing the world I see intuitively through moving colour across various surfaces.

When you look at my art, the thing I want you to feel is...

the joy, the calm, the movement, the aliveness and connection.

The thing I most want to say to non-artists is...

find what makes you happy and do more of it.

I believe art is an important part of our lives because...

as we create it, or look at it, it is possible for us to be transformed, healed, influenced and moved with the wonderful and simple act of looking.
