Artist bio

I am a Yarra Valley Contemporary Impressionist painter who tries to convey his feelings for the subject simply and directly. I have no desire to analyse nature or dissect it. I like the related totality and accept it as a challenge in an unquestioning way. To try and achieve my impression or feeling I endeavour to look at a subject like I were viewing it for the first time, with no preconceived thoughts as to what the components should look like. I try to view the total scene or subject with a mind open to the vibrations I might receive from it, and it is this spontaneous impression that impels me to paint be it in form, color, composition or tone. That is what determines my whole approach emotionally and technically.

Why do people do anything they love ? For the simple reason that they couldn't exist without it.

I am Art and Art is me.
