Jessica Jane

Jessica Jane is an Illustrator and Designer based in Melbourne, Australia. Jessica creates black and white ink drawings with themes such as fairytales, travel, animals and plants. Jessica completed a bachelor of Illustration in 2016 and since has been exhibiting in galleries, artist markets and selling her art online and in stores.

I create art because...

I enjoy the process and love seeing the results. Drawing is way to block out distractions and become immersed in my creativity. I have always made art and when I stop I was to start again.

I am different to most artists because...

I have a sting sense of detail in my pieces. The more you look the more you find. My art is best viewed up close rather than from a distance.

When you look at my art, the thing I want you to feel is...

Happiness and nostalgia. It takes you back to your childhood or an idea of a different time.

I believe art is an important part of our lives because...

It reminds us of a better time and the process of making art can be relaxing and calming.
