Jo’s painting came from a need to escape the world for a while and it proved to be a wonderful discovery in self-motivation, creativity and art supplies addiction!

Jo’s abstract fluid art reflects her love of nature, especially coastal and botanical pieces and are created using acrylic and high flow acrylic paints, alcohol and acrylic inks and drawing, usually over her paintings.

Fluid art has a magical quality and the free-flowing shapes and images that form are utterly beautiful and develop into amazing artworks depicting nature and the universe, oceans, landscapes and aerial topography.

She grew up surrounded by her multi-talented family and will be forever grateful to them for passing on inspiration, a love of creating and beloved family trips, imprinted in her memory with a constant reminder that it’s good for the soul to stop, breathe and take in our worlds natural beauty.

I create art because...

to me there is nothing more wonderful that mixing colours, a fresh surface to create on and watching it all come to life.

Peace, quietness and calm.

The thing I most want to say to non-artists is...

that all art comes from someone’s heart so try to be kind with your opinion. Not all art styles are for everyone.

I believe art is an important part of our lives because...

it creates an emotional connection. Makes you stop for a while.
