I create art because...

I have loved creating as long as I can remember. I paint sculpt write poetry and run eco-art therapy workshops. For me creating is a way of life -although my work it is always with me -when creating art I often feel a conduit for the creative energy or life force it is a process that unfolds often intuitively inspired by

I am different to most artists because...

I have always been inspired by nature its transformative uplifting power its textures and the interplay of colour and light and the power of the places where elements meet. And I try to express this in my work.

When you look at my art, the thing I want you to feel is...

An uplifting sense of peace calm and connection with nature and each other.

The thing I most want to say to non-artists is...

Creating art is a journey if you enjoy creating don't give up

I believe art is an important part of our lives because...

I feel the world would be very grey without art -art has the ability to uplift our mood it invites curiosity and questioning and has the ability to transform the way we think and connect us to our beautiful world and each other.
