Liz Millsom
Artist bio
Liz Millsom is a Melbourne based artist who has exhibited throughout Melbourne solely and collaboratively. A passionate portrait painter, printmaker and illustrator who depicts the human and animal form in various settings. I am interested in the Australian environment and concerned about the ongoing threats to the Australian ecosystem. I am an ardent devotee of the Australian history, sustainability and culture. I would like to see the preservation of our precious native plants, birds and animals. Through observational drawing and working from photographs, my intention of my artworks is to evoke a strong response to the viewer.
When you look at my art, the thing I want you to feel is...
When you look at my art I want you to feel the strength, beauty and soul of the subject matter. What it means to you and why it matters.
I create art because...
I need to, i want to express my concerns through a range of art forms and media.
