Mary Nguyen

Born in Hanoi, Vietnam, Mary T Nguyen underwent formal trainning in Vietnam with well-known artist at the University of Fine Arts. As a refugee, after many years of hard working raising a family, she continued her artstic pursuit gainging a Bacherlor of Fine Arts from thye college of Fine Arts (COFA), UNSW Sydney.
The blurring of both cultural sides in her art has become the sythesis for her works. Her body of work is a combination of the collection pesonal experiences that have been enriched by the Australian culture, enviroment and also her memories of home. she received top prizes, highly recommendations at Fairfed Art Prize, people choices and being selected in national Art Prizes. Artist Residendcy Blacktown 2019 also her works has been used counless film set: Here Out West Productions Pty limited and collected many countries around world.

I love Arts, Art is my therapy, it bring me a joy and happiness.

I am different to most artists because...

I am a refegee Vietnamese Australian artist, who is passionated about traditionnal and contemporary Arts. I hope to be able to share my experience as an artist having inherited a rich Vietnamese cultural background crossebred with Autralian traditional and mutticultural arts on a national level. This transition has provided me with a unique insight into the Autralian Arts movement.

Arts is something we love, we hope, and expressioned of our thought. Art is a silent language but it is so powerful, it can brings to us a joy, a happiness and drives our emotion..

Art is a massed media, we can not live without Arts, which is a way we experienced the world and sharing our own personal intered.
