Artist bio

Matteo is working as a physicist at the University of Melbourne, where he conducts research observing particles and investigating the new generation of electron accelerators. Matteo completed his PhD in Barcelona. He collaborated with the European Council for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva, Switzerland, before relocating to Australia in 2011 for a post-doctoral position at the University of Melbourne.
Right from his childhood, his true passion has always been art. He has developed strong dark room skills and a broad experience in film development. Not satisfied with conventional photography, he enjoys exploring multimedia techniques. One of his recent projects has seen him creating fascinating “biological remixes” of photographs using mould...
