I am particularly drawn to the textures, colours and forms of the natural world; the drapery of bark,
the twists and turns of tree limbs, sacred places, and the vitality of rivers and oceans, all suggesting
the movement of place and time. As a result, I become immersed in the finer details of nature, the
intricacies, the figurative qualities, the ancient storytelling and the appreciation of our natural world.
To be present in nature, for me, is the most powerful of all sources. The healing properties, the quiet
calm and the silence is so comforting. There’s a trust there, an unspoken feeling of admiration,
revealing a loving relationship between us. From my close observations, I now see things differently.
