‘Dolphin 105 x 80, Oil on Canvas

Raine never imagines how a piece of artwork is going to look. She just lets the creativity take over and do its own thing. Raine believes that the beauty about her work comes from the imagination of the person looking at it; it’s really about your story for your home and what feelings you evoke from it.
This piece was created using her hands and fingers, imparting its raw, emotive energy.

Waterlilies

“Your only work is to love yourself, and embody this truth of self worth and self love so that you can be love in action. That is true service, to yourself and to those who surround you,” - Varga.

A Playful Heart

“An explosive celebration of joy infused with colour, texture and a visceral fun. Life is a joy and everyday is a gift,” - Varga.

Small Pleasures

When Carter set out to paint this collection, she wanted to see if it was possible to bring all the vitality and energy of a large abstract painting and convey this in a smaller size. As it turns out – it’s absolutely possible! In order to do this she uses the same techniques as she would on a larger painting but used smaller brushes and implements to paint with.

Carter begins by selecting the colours she wants to use, putting down some brushwork first that leave a little room between the colours that she can fill in later.

A Song of Joy

If A Song of Joy wasn’t a piece of art, it would, naturally, be a song; a song so joyful it would make you stop and look at who was singing it. It is that pause that Carter finds interesting. That important moment that makes you lift your head up from your every day tasks and responsibilities and pay attention to something intrinsically beautiful.

Celebration

If Celebration could talk it would say that it wanted to celebrate you, uplift your spirit and fill you with gratitude and happiness. Life is full of wonder and small miracles and with everything we have to go through in a day it is easy to loose sight of that. We deserve to celebrate ourselves, the natural world around us, the important people in our life, our favourite coffee, and about a million other things!

Salty Crew

Inspired by walking through a marina salvage yard with my camera, capturing the raw beauty only salt, wind, and sun can create. Material found in the painting is to represent the netting found on a fishing boat, as well as music sheets to represent the dock.

Bayside Escape

Inspired by sitting out on the bay looking back at the shoreline. Painting in created with medium and mixed media to give the viewer an adventure in texture, as well as music sheets to represent the shoreline.

Unchartered Horizons

Inspired by an evening drive along the esplanade of the Mornington Peninsula during a summer’s sunset, when the sky turns pink and the water almost black. Material found in the painting is to represent the netting found on a dock, as well as music sheets to represent the glow of the sun disappearing into the water.
