Artist bio

My work investigates connection through creativity & evokes memories of emotion, time & place.
As a constructor of art, I build layers using a variety of media with resin being part of the work & the glue that holds it together. Resin enriches & protects my work allowing me freedom to experiment.
I push the boundaries of resin to explore possibilities & am inclined to break the rules with unexpected results.
I have exhibited work throughout the Illawarra & was winner & guest artist for the Jayne Wilson Memorial Art Prize. I have public works at the Shellharbour Hospital & Wollongong Arts Precinct.
Art is a source of joy for me. Outside the sanctuary of my home & family I feel most comfortable in creative spaces, with other creatives.
After participation in Childs World events in the ACT, I have continued to collaborate on community projects in the Illawarra with KidsFest Shellharbour, Project Community Art Space, the Salvation Army First Floor Program & Renew Wollongong.

I create art because...

Art is how I sing, dance and pray.

I am different to most artists because...

I break all the rules and expect resin to make up for that.

When you look at my art, the thing I want you to feel is...

Anything, just feel, but most of all I want you to feel a raw emotion.

The thing I most want to say to non-artists is...

everyone is an artist. The world is a creative space and our very existence in the world is part of that creation.

I believe art is an important part of our lives because...

it allows us to step outside reality.

Bring this collection to your space.
