Artist bio

I am an artist and educator based in Geelong in Victoria, Australia, focusing on producing large-scale acrylic and oil works, often working live as part of public events. My work depicts people and symbolic animals full of energy and life.
Since 2013, I have been involved in many cultural conferences internationally where I have painted live so the audience can see the images taking shape in real time.
In 2017, I published my first book and have been creating online art courses since 2020. I love this way of working as a complementary strand to my own artistic practice.
I was a finalist in the Shirley Hannan National Portrait Award and the Tatiara Art Prize (Winner of People’s Choice) as well as within Art Battles in Hobart and South Melbourne. I have had the privilege of being an artist-in-residence in Cairns, Sydney and Ballarat.

I create art because...

I can.

I am different to most artists because...

I'm optimistic and business-minded. I've also spent years developing skills.

When you look at my art, the thing I want you to feel is...

up close and personal to the subject, like you can see into their soul.

The thing I most want to say to non-artists is...

explore your creativity, everyone has it!

I believe art is an important part of our lives because...

its capable of putting fat on our souls.
